Celebrated on September 28th
When rabbits are happy they can jump and twist. This is commonly called a "binky." A female rabbit is called a "doe" and a male rabbit is called a "buck." Baby rabbits can be called a "kit" or "kitten."
Rabbits have an excellent sense of smell, hearing and vision. They have nearly 360° panoramic vision, allowing them to detect predators from all directions. They can see everything behind them and only have a small blind-spot in front of their nose.
Rabbits have extremely strong hind limbs which allow them to leap great distances. How high they can jump is debated, but they can jump over 2 ft (0.6 m) high, and possibly up to 4 ft (1.2 m). Rabbits can leap up to 9 ft (2.7 m) horizontally.
