Celebrated on June 11th
Did you know: You may honor your pet by: 1. planting a tree, which will continue to grow as a living legacy for years to come. 2. Spend some time volunteering at a shelter. You will be honoring your pup’s memory in a way that allows your dog to help make a positive impact in the world even after death. 3. Whether you paint a paver or stone yourself or purchase one, placing it in your yard provides a special memorial. You can even consider where your furry friend liked to hang out and place the garden stone accordingly.

Sitting quietly with a cat’s adoring gaze from across the room says volumes. Learn to understand what your cat's telling you with his meows, his tail, his ears, and more. How do you feel when someone ignores your attempts to tell them something? Your cat knows you love him and returns the purrs when you respond to his language in an appropriate way.

Try giving him a gentle rub behind the ears. Watch his reaction — he will most likely melt into a ball of doggy happiness. This is because rubbing a dog’s ears actually stimulates the release of endorphins – hormones that relieve pain and bring on feelings of pleasure.
